I spent almost 24 years at the International Trade Administration (ITA) of the U.S. Department of Commerce.  I began my career there in ITA’s Office of Enforcement and Compliance as a case analyst in Antidumping (AD) and Countervailing Duty (CVD) proceedings.  It was during this time that I first started programming with SAS® software.  After about nine years as a case analyst, I continued working in the AD/CVD field while focusing on programming, teaching, and quality control efforts for the next 15 years.  During my tenure in ITA, I maintained a Secret-level security clearance.

Immediately after retiring from government service, I was employed for nearly four years by a business consulting firm.  During my time there, I worked on a U.S. Government contract analyzing Small Business Administration (SBA) loan portfolio data of participating banks, credit unions and other lenders, work which required a U.S. Government Public Trust security clearance.  My work for the SBA entailed cleaning and integrating data from many sources and formats, streamlining processes for increased efficiency and auditability, performing data analyses using SAS® software and then putting results into formats easily accessible to SBA’s personnel, and developing complex spreadsheet (Excel) reports. 

Under DeCoded, LLC, I continue to work as a U.S. Government subcontractor for the SBA.  I also have returned to the field of international trade as a data consultant for clients participating in AD proceedings.

I am a gradudate of Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, where I received my MA International Business Management degree in 2020.

After university, I was a successful pharmaceutical supply chain planner for Kyowa Kirin International for three years. In this role, I managed inventories for multiple products and product lines across Europe. I was responsible for the execution and control of all aspects of the supply chain activity, including providing product specialist knowledge regarding manufacturing; supply planning; scheduling; and compliance. I also liaised with key departments within the company, such as Commercial, Quality Assurance, and Technical Operations, as well as responded to inquiries from parties outside of the immediate company such as affiliates, partners, pre-wholesalers, and customers.

I left Kyowa Kirin International to move to the United States to be with my long-time boyfriend, and now husband, Sam Thirumalai.  Sam is Cindee's son and co-founder of DeCoded, LLC. 

Under the guidance of DeCoded’s current owner, and my mother-in-law, Cindee Thirumalai, I have been preparing to become proficient in all aspects of DeCoded's fields of expertise.  To these ends, I completed coursework in statistics at Montgomery Community College and am in the process of what will be an extensive curriculum in SAS® software programming, accounting and the use of other data analysis tools.  

I am now a permanent resident of the United States and able to assist Cindee with your data analysis and antidumping needs.
